How do you write a press release?
I’m a Masters student studying Museum Studies and I am putting on an exhibition for a local castle. They have asked me to write a press release and said to include my details (ie name and course etc) as well as exhibition details. However, I don’t know how to write one. Can someone please advise? Thank you in advance.
There are a number of websites that can give you the rudiments of putting together a press release. Google: How to write a press release. The release should be written short, to the point and give a sufficient amount of details about the exhibition, including the purpose of the exhibition, people who were involved in it, a quote or two from one of them explaining its purpose, admission fee (if any). The release should be sent to the city editor and/or features editor of your local newspapers and the assignment desks of your local television and radio stations.
