Haha things really changed 5points. They say 3-year is a generation gap and I'm totally clueless what you are talking about. I know Allston, have been to ghetto grocery stores many times but never visited any video shop.
Right now there are so many different ways to watch Chinese movies, and renting from the video store is becoming less popular. Many I know already give up on renting in favor of watching them online.

I do agree with unplugging and being “on vacation” while literally on vacation, however I would bet that the majority of people have spent gobs of $$$$ to do their Disney vacation and it may be their ONLY chance and sitting around for a big chunk of it isn't going to maximize their dollars. You have the benefit of family nearby to cut down on costs AND get in free to boot!
All that aside, there is definite truth in letting our expectations get the best of us. In any area of our lives.
