Hi, None of you are going to belive this but, I don’t know how to participate in on-line Forums," no I am not kidding". How does a person learn? I have typed out 2 paragraph question at the time, only to have them not go through! This is very disheartning, can anyone out there help me? There are several on-line forums that I would like to be able to use, to learn about the things that I have a keen interest in. But when it comes to on-line forums I don’t have a clue. Please only serious answers only.

A good question. Many people out there are new and unfamiliar with the Internet culture and netiquette.

I recommend doing a search on Google or Yahoo… something like "how to chat on-line" or something like that. The Internet provides a plethora of information. You are not the first, and will not be the last person asking this question.

I also recommend typing in short sentences. A long paragraph looks less ‘appealing’ to a reader than a short sentence. It’s like the difference between reading a bulleted list of to-do items vs. a long paragraph of to-do’s.

Have fun! And remember – it really is a learning process. Just dive in and have fun. After a while, you’ll get the hang of it… and then at that moment, you’ll be wondering, "what the heck does ‘LOL’ and ‘IMHO’ mean??" that’s just Internet short-cut talk!
